If this was going to be added, I think it might make sense to have it under "Preferences" > "Editors" > "SQL Editors" under the "Connections" heading. It would be nice if there was a setting to disable the prompt: for example " Prompt to save changes on database disconnect". I can click "No" for each editor, but for me personally the dialog seems unnecessary if all I'm doing is disconnecting (As opposed to closing dbeaver). With DBeaver you are able to manipulate with your data like in a regular spreadsheet, create analytical reports based on records from different data storages, export information in an appropriate format. Since I am still actively working on the files, I don't want to save the changes yet. DBeaver is a universal database management tool for everyone who needs to work with data in a professional way. The current behavior is that when I attempt to disconnect, I get a prompt that says "Save Editor Changes / 'file_name.sql' was changed. Generally, before I disconnect the VPN, I disconnect from the current database in dbeaver while keeping several SQL Editors open. When I do this, I need to disconnect one client's VPN and connect to another client's VPN. You will come back to the initial screen with a bookmark created which you can always use to connect to the archive.

Remember that the default combination for user and password is 'sa'/'sa'. When working on something that will affect multiple clients, I often need to disconnect from one client's system and connect to another. Select Valentina Server from the list on the left side.

You should always evaluate Studio first to ensure Valentina Studio Pro is the right solution for you.

That's why I explicitly close all connections except local when I develop new code so even if I accidentally execute some script in editor that was connected to remote server, nothing happens because that editor window won't be linked to remote server anymore. Valentina Studio Single supports a single database (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc) on a single operating system and doesnt support Valentina Project (forms, JS scripts, reports etc) except in read only mode (as with Valentina Studio FREE). Sometimes I need to debug remote server, so I connect there and make selects, but most of the time I work only with local server and when I execute some scripts I want to make sure that I didn't accidentally execute script on remote server. You may ask why I need to close connection during work? The answer is this: I have connections for both local and remote servers. Why you ask on connection close which happens quite often during work: switch from one server to another for example.Īnd there is no option to stop saving, the only thing you can do is automatically save on close (and create bzillion meaningless files), there is no option "do nothing with sql editor windows, keep them upsaved on connection close", which should be default behaviour IMHO. What's the relation? What you're trying to remind me? that I loose something? I can loose changes only when I close dbeaver application - then you should ask what to do with unsaved files. Also I personally don't understand why I need to save my sql editor files when I close some DB connection.
